Name of Equine: Fire n' Lightning King or Queen position: King Activity Level: As active as possible... may blink out of exsistance every once in a while... i do have a life...... Why would your character be good in that position: He is strong,a does Know what it takes to lead. He Stands strong when apposed, and is kind. But if you get on his mean side he will kill you. He can play light and dark like he was one. Sample Post (as if you are the lead): (I will rp in first person... sorry at my best that way)
Fire n' Lightning.
I danced forward, and smiled. A family of Arabs were aproching me and i wanted to meet them.
"Hello!"
I called to them and moved towards the stallion. The white stud stopped and looked afraid.
"My Lord.... We have come to ask for help!"
I watched the white stallion and sighed.
"How may I or my family, and friends help you?"
I asked softly trotting towards the stallion and stopping before him. I was taller then the Arab and i smiled. There was a pretty black mare, and bronze mare and a Chestnut mare. Each had a foal, of similar colors. All with the look of true fear. I looked at the black mare... for she was defiantly the lead mare.
"My Lady.... May i ask what has happened?"
I asked looking deep into the mares eyes. I saw her pull herself together, then she started to talk.
"You Highness..... We were traveling, trying to get here quietly, when we past through the Light lands..... We weren't paying attention and we were captured. Our oldest Mare, and our yearling colt were killed and the rest of us were placed in servitude. After many days of serving with the other slaves, we found a way out... but not after loosing more of our numbers." She sobbed, and i nuzzled her softly trying to calm her down. She continued. "We ran as hard as we could, but we ought caught, and only us 7 got out alive. We have come here asking for protection...... All of us heard the plans of the light ones...... we need help my lord... please help us." Said the black mare. She stood up strong, eyes flashing with slight anger. I snorted and stomped my hoof.
"How could i not give you shelter?" I asked softly. I turned to the stallion. "Do you say that i am your king and that you will help protect the Herd?" I asked him and he nodded. I Looked at the mares. "Go to the queen......" I said softly and watched as they left. The white stallion smiled. "Thank you My Lord..... Thank you." He said then turned and cantered off. I watched him leave.
I trotted over to the Duke. "We have a problem." I said softly. He nodded. He had heard what had happened. "Fire I don't know what we will do..... but we must get ready for war." He said with deep sadness. I looked at him and sighed. "That is not what i want... but i know we will have to." I said and looked off in the distance. I felt something nuzzle me and i looked to my side. "Hey love." I said softly to the queen. She smiled at me, but didn't say anything. I could tell that the black mare had got to her. "Are they part of the herd?" She nodded. I smiled. "Good, Come!" I Called and cantered off haveing her chase me... i needed a few moments just fo r me and her.

{ hope you don't mind if my roleplaying sample is in first person..? it's really the only way i roleplay.. xD } { :O i also hope that you don't mind that Evolet's appie hasn't been accepted yet.. i can take this down until it's accepted if you want :) }
Name of Equine: Evolet
King or Queen position: Queen
Activity Level: Even though I probably shouldn't be on quite so much, I am online a lot. A lot, a lot. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing ;D Basically, I'm on every day, unless I say ahead of time if I have a horse show or other commitment going on.
Why would your character be good in that position: Evolet doesn't have many beliefs, which is one reason that she shifted into the grey grounds of being a neutral. She was raised by horses of both the dark and light alliance, and was taught several beliefs, yet in the end, she chose the middle ground. Evolet is very independent and free spirited, especially for a vixen; she does not need a stallion or another creature to use as her emotional crutch or just to simply depend on anyone. This is one reason why she would make an excellent leader--the king would not be seen as the superior to the pair, but the equal, because Evolet will be just as, if not more, opinionated and protective of those in her harem. Ev is strong and able bodied, constantly up for a challenge. Though she likes to have her voice be heard and is very opinionated, she also believes in respecting thoughts of others, and she is very open and lenient on matters. She has a quick tongue, and few can intimidate her, whether it be that they are toying with her emotionally or physically. She is also very calm and collected when the moment calls for it, and does not easily loose her cool.
Sample Post (as if you are the lead): [the current situation in my sample post is that the leaders are meeting together at the center of the Isle to try to have a civil conversation about the situation the feuding alliances are going through] [sorry for crappiness--my muse is very low, and i have not roleplayed in several months; i'm still trying to get into the swing of things :)]
My senses seemed so acute then and there; everything was amplified in ways I never thought possible. I could hear the squirrel that scurried up a large pine, attempting to gain coverage to escape the famished fox that stalked it's prey; the trickle of the creek not far from where I stood; the birds as their tunes danced through the sound waves. My petite, lithe physique stood atop a knoll, five other equines standing around me; my own mate, Strider, stood pressed possessively against my barrel, his muscular bulk making my own form appear even more dainty than it already is; opposite to us stood the dark royals, sporting what seemed as if to be a permanent glare fixated at the light royals that stood on the other side of Strider.
Auburn tiara lowered slightly as I dipped my skull, orbs fluttering shut for a few moments before the dark queen, Alanah, snorted, as if in silent agreement to my boredom. Lanterns opened, meeting her gaze, and I tilted my cranium ever so lightly towards the stallions that were talking heatedly. It was a curious thing, all of the royals opinions of everyone, and how the czar's ideas seemed so skewed. While Alanah and I certainly do not hold any friendly affections towards each other -- very much the opposite, actually -- we both had admitted to each other that we like one another much more than either of us like the light queen, Meera, in all of her insolence. Besides that, our mates are always at each others throats, whether it be literally or verbally-- and Alanah and I often share an understanding glance, knowing how the other feels about all of this nonsense. The nuetrals could easily gain alliance with the darks and we could ally together to go against the lights--no one likes the lights. They boast having power over the Isle, but it is all child's play. No one has full reign over this realm, and it seems as if no one ever will--we will constantly be in a state of war. We always have been, we always will. That is simply how our world works; for that balance to be disrupted could end in total chaos.
I casted a glance at Strider, taking an unconscious step forward as he bellowed something incoherent at the light king, Alanah's mate glaring annoyed at the very same equine. From the little snippets I had heard, the light brute is proposing the idea of all equines converting to the light alliance--as if anything like that would ever happen.
"Rogue, the neutral and dark equines bare larger numbers than the lights. The mere suggestion of something as trivial as that is foolish, and you are aware of that," I spoke softly, ever the calm and collected vixen I was taught to be when the moment called for it. I pressed my dome gently against Strider's boa, attempting to calm him before he did anything that could lead to something he would regret. My gaze shifted to meet Rogue's, the light king, my stance unwavering as I stood confidently. Rogue sneered at me, casting a look that said 'shut up, vixen. beat it and let the real leaders here deal with our problems.' I snorted in response. "Run off and partake in your normal childs play, Rogue. This is business for the big boys." In my peripheral vision I caught sight of Strider casting me a bemused glance, but I kept my gaze locked with Rogue's, daring him to say anything more. Alanah's mate tossed his dome high into the oxygens, a groan emitting from his chambers--but I couldn't help but noticed the amused light in his orbs when I granted him a quick glance.
"We are solving nothing here. Rogue, you are not the reigning alliance here. No one is. Evolet, stay in your place. Strider, don't loose your temper and try to keep a civil conversation. And for god's sakes, Meera, pay attention." The dark king's tunes boomed across the fields, his vocals naturally granting him a loud bellow whenever he spoke. I exhaled deeply, gazing into the distance. Every horse present here was aware of my goal of having contessa's being the equal to their czars, and they knew I hated being reminded of the fact that I am not of the dominant gender. No matter how much more I liked the darks than the lights, I don't think we can ever actually have a civil conversation.
All child's play, I tell you.
