{~Dromer~}
Life is sweet at times
I moved forward, my white feather grabbing at the grass below me as i went for a drink. I smiled. it was nice out.. The sun was just rising and the birds were singing. I maneuvered my Shire body down to teh water and took a drink.. then on impulse i leaped into the water, splashing, and enjoying myself.
I continued to move around in the pool while thinking. I was thinking about a stallion... and foals. I wanted one dearly... one that was all my own... and i sighed. "I wonder if there ever will be a stallion that would want such a huge mare like me." i said sadly. I climbed out of the pool and stood still thinking and dreaming about having a filly by my side... and heir to my land.... i hoped.[/[/size]color]

Spring brought out the deviousness in the young mare. She came through the lands at a gentle canter, three beats, her left fore at the lead. Light thuds in threes resounded through her ears along with the natural sounds of the birds and the other beasts nearby. The young mare had been lucky in her exploits thus far, for she was forbidden in these lands. Upon her arrival, she had continually turned to look behind her, ever conscious of the steeds who may choose to follow her trail. Even now she was ever aware of her surroundings, and even now she felt the terror rising within her. If she were to be found out....god-horse willing she keep her life.
She slowed as a pond came into her view. She was quite fond of ponds as they supplied a source of drink among other things. Slowing to her standard pace, the mare moved forward in the lands, approaching the pond. Her body rocked back and forth as she moved, and it used much less energy than her canter did. If a horse could smile, she would be doing so right now. Within the next few minutes, the young mare's fore hooves touched the sparkling pond water, sending ripples out toward the center. She halted at once and bent her head down to drink. Oh! The water was cool and refreshing! Some parts were cold, though, and she balked just once from the water at the sting down her throat. She placed her maw to the pond once more and...
Splash! Droplets of water landed on her, and she backed away from the pond. For fear of being caught, the young mare looked about, frightened that one of the light's was ready to overpower her and take her back to her prison. No. That was not so. By the time the mare had gathered her senses, a tall horse stood by the pond. The young mare tilted her head to the side for a moment, curious about this other who was seemingly dripping from ear to hoof. The mare turned her body, ever conscious of where she stood in relation to the other. Her first thought was this is definitely a light, even their coloring shows it! and she thought she should run away. Yet a deep rooted curiosity forced her to remain. Thus she stood, facing the tall, light coated horse before her.
"" Hello? "" She called toward the other, still remaining where she stood. Light shone off her dark colored pelt, bringing out some of the brown that lay hidden within it. Her lowered head and neck seemed to give the impression she was shorter than she was, although she stood an average of fifteen hands, and while she was well built and sturdy, it would take a knowledgeable eye to distinguish her pedigree. She awaited a response from the other.

{Dromer}
Life is sweet at times.
I turned to see the pretty young mare. "Hello!" I said with a smile. "I am Dromer... Who may you be?" I asked. Wondering who she was. I was neutral... but that didn't often show because i was more lightish.... but not always. I was amused by the water dripping off of me. I wondered if this mare was a neutral, i wanted a friend of my own alliance... but that was probably NOT going to happen. My luck wasn't that good. It never was.. never would be.
I looked at the mare again. She was dark.... colored, and very pretty, and small..... Wait every one was small compared to me. I wondered how i would get around to asking her what her alliance was. I sneezed towards the pond. "I am sorry! That just escaped me!" I said with a light smile and laugh.

She did not need to wait long for the starlit mare to respond to her. Her hello was returned with a smile, which caused the young, dark mare to flinch a bit on the inside. Poli stared for a moment, looking just past the mare, making sure she was not being rude but not being suckered in by the joy either. This is one cheerful mare She thought to herself.
The young mare drunk in the question as she had many times before. This would be one of the first times she would pronounce her calling in this land. She had previously sworn that all who would hear her name would pronounce it correctly. She refused to let any horse, male or female, wrongly pronounce her name, especially after suffering years without one.
"Well," She started with a sigh, " it's a little hard to pronounce, but...here it goes. I am Polymernixi, that is Poly - mer - nix - i. The last 'i' sounds like a long 'e', nix is pronounced how it looks, mer is the French word for sea, and the first part of my name is pronounced Pol - y, the y has a long 'e' sound. All together, Poly-mer-nix-i."
Poli could not help but think of the times she pronounced her name in other lands. She was prepared for the other horse to laugh or scoff at her. Alas, she needed to be prepared in any land she would travel to. Especially here. Here she was, a young mare, without a harem to call her home. It was not much different from the other places she knew of.
